Many people hear it and words like alcohol, drugs, juicing or cleanse come to mind. However, I am not talking about ANY of these things when I am thinking of detoxing my children/family. Detoxing is about so much more than juicing or even just the food we eat. Notice that the dictionary defines detoxing as getting rid of toxins or poison or the negative effects of toxins/poison. And that poison is defined as something harmful to one’s happiness or well-being. That gives insight that toxic substances can be so much more than just the food we ingest, negativity/stress are often harmful to our happiness. A detox is needed in every area of our life, not just our diet and not just as adults; children are often in dire need of a detox from today’s toxic life style.
